Fen House Dental Practice

Dental emergencies can happen at any time, so it’s good to know that someone is there for you when you need it.

Whether you’re experiencing an excruciating toothache or have suffered a dental injury, our Fen House Dental team can help.

We have slots throughout the day specifically for dental emergencies, so don’t suffer in silence. Call our emergency dentist in Spalding, and we’ll try to accommodate you.

What to expect

When you pay us an emergency dental visit, you’re in highly skilled and safe hands. As such, patients can expect the following:

  • Relaxed treatment is carried out in a reassuring manner. Because our team is used to dealing with anxious patients, you’ll feel safe and secure while being treated.
  • A listening ear – We’ll listen to your needs before treatment begins and act accordingly.
  • We won’t leave you in pain – Dr Shahin, Dr Pirvu, and their team will do whatever they can to get you out of any discomfort. While you may need to come back for further treatment, we assure patients that after that initial visit, they’ll be pain-free.

What type of emergencies does our emergency dentist in Spalding treat?

We treat a number of conditions, including:

Toothache

Typically, toothache is caused by infection. We’ll get to the cause of the problem and initiate the appropriate treatment quickly. This may include root canal therapy, the application of a tooth filling, or tooth extraction as a last resort.

Chipped, cracked or broken teeth

Often caused while biting down on food or through a facial blow or accident, a chipped or broken tooth can be painful. We’ll treat the tooth by applying either a protective crown or a dental veneer or removing the tooth and replacing it with a dental implant if it’s beyond repair.

Swelling

Swelling in the oral cavity is often caused by an abscess. This, in turn, is caused by infection. We’ll work to drain the infection and prevent further swelling. Any form of facial swelling constitutes a dental emergency, so it’s important to call straight away.

Broken dentures or restorations

Often, people come to us with broken dentures or broken restorations; while it might not always be painful, it’s inconvenient and, therefore, needs to be dealt with as soon as possible. If we can’t fix the broken denture or restoration right away, we’ll fit you with a temporary until your regular appliance is repaired.

Knocked-out teeth

When a tooth is knocked out completely, the nerves and blood vessels cannot be saved. However, the tissues that cover the tooth root can sometimes be reattached if caught early, so speed is of the essence. The faster you can get to us, the more chance we have of placing the tooth back in your mouth. If the tooth cannot be saved, we will suggest other ways of restoring your smile.

Have you got a dental emergency?

If you’re in any pain or discomfort, don’t suffer in silence! Pick up the phone and give us a call. Remember, we’re here for you when you need us most!

FAQs

What constitutes a dental emergency?

If you’re in any pain or discomfort that is either prolonged or can’t be brought under control using over-the-counter pain relief, then do give us a call right away.

My child has a dental emergency. Can you help?

Absolutely, we’re a family dentist first and foremost, so please give us a call.

I don’t know if it’s a dental emergency. Should I call anyway?

By all means, give us a call, and we’ll be able to quickly assess the problem and determine whether it constitutes a speedy visit to our emergency dentist here in Spalding.

Will you always be able to treat my emergency condition?

We will, at the very least, get you out of pain and make you more comfortable. In cases where we cannot complete same-day treatment, we’ll fit you with a temporary restoration or tooth so you can function normally until your next visit. If this is likely to be the case, we’ll communicate this to you before we commence treatment.
